Prayers for Buhari and Nigeria.
Story by Edward Jalayemi/edwardjaleyemi.blogspot.com.ng
PRAYER is the key that unlocks and unleashes the powers of heaven to back up all human endeavours, on this earth. Christians, and Muslims pray, and even idol worshipers appeal their gods for success in their goals on earth.
This is because the spiritual controls the physical, and both realms operate under laws and principles. We have spiritual laws and natural laws, and it takes prayers, be it Christian, Muslim or heathen, to superimpose the spiritual over or on top the natural to give us super- natural experiences on earth. God answers prayers and is above all other powers.
During the 2015 elections, I prayed for Good Ebele Jonathan, GEJ to win, and for Capt. Iheanacho of APGA to win Imo State, but God, chose those that He wanted as the leaders at these two levels. I hoped that GEJ, would be given another opportunity by God, to correct some bad mistakes he made as President. For example, he did nothing for his people and the South East. The East -West Road was not completed, the road to his own village remained as it was before he became president, the Port Harcourt – Owerri Road, Port Harcourt – Onitsha, and Port Harcourt Enugu Road, to name a few were not attended to, even when the three ministers for works under GEJ were all from the South, they did their best to please themselves.
The reconstruction of the Lagos Ibadan Express way refused to impress the Yorubas, due to the complicated influence of his one-time Yoruba God father, who saw to it that he was pulled down, showing how terrible Nigerian politics can be. GEJ trusted almost everybody, and they betrayed and sold him for a piece of lentils porridge. Christians are enjoined to accept every verdict from God with thanks giving, and where we don’t like the result, we go back to God with our supplications. This is why Christians are generally a peaceful people. Thus, we accepted PMB as President and for our fears, we will keep them constantly before God, so that we may receive answers in the fullness of God’s divine time.
It has become clear that PMB as a War veteran, simply fought to win, and having won, sat down to plan how to take the spoils of the war. He did not expect victory, and having received God’s favour, he is taking his time, for he cannot afford to fail God, and his own people.
In this victory, PMB appears to me, like a man who jumped into a den of lions. The carnivores became so startled by this bold action, that they stood still to watch what this intruder would do next. If he dares to run, or takes a false step, his hosts would devour him, and this is where PMB needs all the prayers, those who sincerely love Nigeria can offer to heavens.
PMB owes those who voted him into power some rewards, but we need to pray for grace upon all Nigerians, for it seems, we are in the season of reckoning for our recklessness of the past. Nigerian past leaders squandered our common wealth, and dotted the landscapes of other nations with huge investments, that are helping those nations. Their calculations must have included to secure and hide away their loots from the prying eyes of Nigerians, in the hope that oil wealth would continue to flow. Today, oil prices are crashing, and it is predicted to hit below $30 per barrel by 2nd quarter 2016! Hardship stares us in the face, yet our leaders are still pilfering, and hiding; We need the Grace of God, which can only come when we pray honestly.
PMB, I believe, wants to sanitise our systems. We must pray for him to receive uncommon wisdom, understanding, and good counsel, so that he will not out of share zeal, create lines that will eventually pull Nigeria into breaking up. We must pray desperately for the peace of Nigeria, because nerves are quite frailed, people are hungry and unhappy, and when protracted poverty is added to these, the unexpected could follow.
PMB’s fight, which as good citizens have become our fight against corruption, will peach his tent at some stage, against some of his erstwhile cronies and funders, in APC. America and Europe will definitely give him a list of corrupt persons in Nigeria, and he will discover that some of his allies are on that list. He needs our prayers to be able to sort these out, and keep his life.
The internet is awash with stashes of US Dollars in cash discovered by the DSS from the residence of an immediate past governor of Nigeria, who is now a Senator. Many of the incumbent governors are believed to have cash hidden at various points. Corruption could fight back against PMB, hence we must pray for God’s protection of his life now!
Moreover most of these men who are in the current Senate and NASS, the devil can mobilise them against PMB, so the President needs our prayers to know his enemies, before they get to him.
We hear that the Federal government has frozen the accounts of some Niger Delta creek Lords, which is not necessary, at this stage. PMB needs good counsel, and we must pray for him to discern the real advice from his people, and in every matter to consider that Nigerians are going through a rough time financially. Budgets are yet to be implemented, the whole place is dry; a hungry man is an angry man, so PMB must balance the situations, in all he does. He needs our fervent prayers, to be able to deliver us from a civil disobedience soon.
When a nation blocks trade and trading, it incurs the wrath of other allied nations. Today, all the decisions of our CBN, appear to be blocking Trade and Trading, thus, we need to pray for favour to follow our nation in these trying times, when we want to chart a new course as a people.
May God keep our President and bless Nigeria, in Jesus Name
