At least five dead in Israel and West Bank attacks.

Israeli-Palestinian tensions have surged in recent weeks [Handout via EPA] At least five people have been killed in two alleged Palestinian attacks in Tel Aviv and the Gush Etzion Israeli settlement near Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, Israeli police have said. The first attack was allegedly carried out on Thursday by a knife-wielding man who fatally stabbed two Israeli men and seriously injured a third in a southern Tel Aviv office building. He was arrested at the scene.

About 100 Nigerian soldiers missing after Boko Haram attacks.

The Nigerian Army has not confirmed this yet but there are reports that Army may have lost about 150 of it men to an attack by Boko Haram insurgents in Gudunbali, Borno State. The insurgent it was gathered attacked at Gudunbali in Borno State, on Wednesday as a result the 157 Battalion of the Nigerian Army could not account for at least, 105 soldiers including their commanding officer.

Veteran Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni has said he will be a cattle keeper if he loses elections next year after three decades in power. “If I lose election I shall leave power,” Museveni said Thursday, according to the state-owned New Vision newspaper. “I have got my job at home, I am a cattle keeper,” he added, according to the Daily Monitor newspaper.

India board bans Bond’s movie, Spectre over long kissing scenes.

It’s the country that gave the world the Kama Sutra, but India’s notoriously prudish film board has ruled that long kissing scenes in the new James Bond movie “Spectre” are not suitable for Indian audiences. The Mumbai-based Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has reined in the fictional British spy’s famously lusty romantic life by cutting the length of two passionate embrace scenes, its chairperson told AFP.
