Kaduna PDP Denies Defection of Members To APC

Stakeholders of the Kaduna state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party have dispelled the rumour making round that the party members from Kaduna North had defected to the All Progressives Congress.

Senator Mohammed Aruwa who represented Kaduna North central in the National Assembly said this during a meeting with other PDP members in the state stressing that no member of the party from the constituency defected to the APC and that the chapter has no information as to who indicated interest to cross-carpet.
The Kaduna PDP members had reorganised themselves after the political setback the former ruling party suffered in the hands of the APC during the last general elections.
According to PM News, the party chieftains who are from Kaduna North expressed their commitment to remain in the party and to make more plans as regards how to reclaim power from the ruling party in the state during the next general elections in 2019.
The stakeholders, who vowed to reclaim all PDP strongholds that are currently being occupied by the APC in the state, expressed optimism that PDP will bounce back, considering the feelers the party is getting from a large number of supporters and other Nigerians who still believe in the party.
The senator said that members of PDP are working hard to ensure that the party remains organised and united. He said that the party members are also working assiduously to achieve the established goal of a formidable opposition party.
Aruwa said that the PDP is still a party with a hybrid of leaders with the requisite experience to provide Nigerians with a focused leadership.
Urging all PDP members in the state to be patient and work closely with the party in its effort to reclaim power at all levels in 2019, the senator said that the defeat of the party by the APC at both the state and federal levels is not enough grounds to write off the former ruling party.
